New Tax-Free Childcare Scheme vs Childcare Vouchers

This post is aimed at Childcare providers but also at parents with pre-school age children. Major changes are taking place this Autumn, with the existing Childcare Vouchers Scheme closing to new entrants and a new Tax-Free Childcare Scheme taking its place. As with all such changes there will be winners and losers. The critical thing for parents to do NOW is assess whether they will be better off under the existing Childcare Vouchers Scheme than under the new scheme. If this is the case they need to apply before the changes come in so that they have the option to continue to obtain Childcare Vouchers once the new scheme has started. I am calling on all Childcare providers to tell your parents about these changes and encourage them to plan for them now. Good sources of information are:
